World's First Pregnant Man Appears On Oprah

Thomas Beattie, who was born as a girl named Tracy, appeared on the Oprah Show today with his life partner Nancy to talk about his pregnancy and his life.

Once a beautiful girl who made it into the finals of the Miss Teen U.S.A. Pageant, Tracy decided in her twenties that she would be more comfortable living her life as a man.

Tracy made the decision to become Thomas and had her breasts surgically removed and took the male hormone testosterone to give her more manly features.

But she chose to keep her reproductive organs so that she would one day be able to have a child.

Now Thomas has achieved his dream of becoming pregnant but must face the scrutiny of the public, his neighbors, and even his family. After all it's not easy to understand the complexity of Thomas' situation.

Oprah asked the question "Do you think the world is ready for this?" Thomas Beattie thinks it just might be, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
