Matt Lauer, the 51-year-old host of NBC's Today Show was injured in a weekend bicycle accident and unable to work today. Merideth Vieira announced on today's show that Lauer dislocated his shoulder after running into a deer. She said that Matt Lauer still has his sense of humor and was cracking jokes in the email he sent.
I don't know what the odds are of hitting a deer while on a bike ride are but I'm guessing their pretty darn slim. Rumor has it that Matt Lauer is having surgery today. You can leave Matt your get well wishes on the Today Show website.
